Style & Colors of Sea Pearl Quartzite
Sea Pearl Quartzite is often boasting a cool, off-white background color, contrasting with swooping gray and charcoal lines. This gives it a slight resemblance to Marble, while retaining the signature “geological” look and high durability of Quartzite.
Called “Sea Pearl” for its color and gently moving veining patterns, this beautiful Stone gives off a high-class, pearlescent look, which will compliment luxurious colors such as bronze and silver. Sea Pearl Quartzite also fits into any beach house or ocean-themed decor. How Durable is Sea Pearl Quartzite?
Sea Pearl, like most Quartzites, is incredibly durable as a countertop. Even harder than Marble and Granite, Sea Pearl Quartzite is highly resistant to heat, scratching, and staining. While all Natural Stone will require regular cleaning and sealing through the years, Sea Pearl Quartzite will require comparatively less maintenance than other Stones.
While Quartzite is incredibly durable, light-colored Quartzite can sometimes absorb water, and leave small discolorations or “water spots.” Even when it’s properly sealed, Sea Pearl Quartzite still can experience this light water absorption. The discoloration from moisture should naturally fade away over the course of a week or so as the stone dries, although it is recommended to clean all spills (including water) as soon as possible to avoid this occurrence.
